Domestic Adoption

Since 1967, we have placed more than 700 domestic infants with families. If you decide domestic adoption is the best option for you, the first step is to speak with one of our social workers who will work with you every step of the way. In addition, you will be required to attend educational sessions and complete a homestudy assessment.

Adoption Preparation Sessions
Graceworks provides educational group sessions for domestic infant adoption, which meet Ohio requirements for pre-adoption training. These sessions are designed to prepare you to become an adoptive family.

Homestudy Assessments
Homestudy assessments are required for all adoptions. State-licensed adoption assessors conduct all of our homestudies, which are thoroughly reviewed to meet the highest standards of quality.

Post-placement Services
Once your child is placed in your home, we will complete the necessary post-placement visits and reports. During this adjustment period, we will be available to make referrals to resources you or your child might need, and to provide emotional support, as needed.
